Our Mission

Our mission is to help people with disabilities gain independence and enhance public safety through community based programming with the use of highly trained canines.

Our Story

Paws 4 Success is a community based organization focusing on providing quality service dogs and highly trained scent detection canines. Paws 4 Success was formed out of desire to help people using the natural abilities that canines possess while reducing the high costs associated with those services.

The average cost of a Service Dog is between $20,000 and $30,000. This cost includes training, veterinarian expenses, certification, and equipment. In an attempt to lessen the financial burden and make service dogs more obtainable to a greater number of people, Paws 4 Success, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was formed.

Our organization, is committed to enriching the quality of life for community members with specific needs. We accomplish this by pairing them with specially trained service dogs or helping them by training their canine companion into a highly trained service dog. Our organization has built not only a community, but a safe place for our clients and their families, based on respect, inclusiveness, and empowerment.

Beyond providing one-on-one, customized training, we offer several other programs that promote growth, confidence, and a sense of community. Our organization leads free , weekly community dog walks, providing people with an opportunity to interact with individuals who they may not otherwise have gotten to know. Paws 4 Success hosts a weekly dinner for our local veterans and first responders, providing a safe place to gather and share comradely of other who understand their individual experiences. Paws 4 Success holds educational programs which have been attended by federal and local law enforcement agencies, shelter and animal rescue personnel, and community members. Additionally, we offer Paws 4 Reading, a program led by a certified reading instructor and her canine pal, for children ages 5 through 9. Paws 4 Success partners with community groups to offer story time. This is a power platform to promote reading and introduce children to local community members. Paws 4 Success knows the importance of public safety. We offer canine scent detection teams highly trained in sniffing out narcotics, explosives, and firearms at a price that is affordable to all.
