Recognizing the importance of the bond between a dog and its owner, Paws 4 Success has created an extensive program that focuses on responsible dog ownership and creating a healthy relationship between you and your dog. Our training programs are designed to produce confident, well-tempered, and highly social dogs through positive reinforcement methods. All canines enrolled in our training programs are taught the basic principles needed to become successful in any environment.

Basic Obedience

This 12-week class reinforces the fundamentals of good pet ownership and is designed to create an obedient and confident dog. Upon successful completion, dogs will earn the AKC Canine Good Citizen designation.

This introductory course is designed for dogs over the age of 1 year or after completing Puppy 101. During this course, instructors will cover the following:

proper nutrition, preventive care, performing health checks on your pet, grooming and bathing techniques
Look at me, sit, stay (focusing on distance and duration), come, heel, down, and leave it commands
socialization and distractions

Course Cost: $480 (payment plans available)

Advanced Obedience

This 14 week class is the next step for dogs and their owners past the AKC Canine Good Citizen course. This class prepares your dog to work in and around traffic, crowds, noises, and smells. Dogs and their owners will learn to operate in public areas, ignoring distractions, while mastering elevators, stairs, and public transportation. This course is a pre-requisite for the Service Dog course. Upon successful completion, dogs will earn the designation of AKC CGCA and AKC CGCU.

Service Dog

This 12 week class reinforces the fundamentals of good pet ownership and is designed to create an obedient and confident dog. Upon successful completion, dogs will earn the designation of AKC Canine Good Citizen.

This basic course is designed for dogs over the age of 1 year or after completion of Puppy 101. During this course, instructors will cover:

Puppy 101

This 10-week class focuses on the fundamentals of good pet ownership and is intended to set your puppy on the path to being a well-mannered, socialized dog. Upon successful completion, dogs will earn the designation of AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy.

This introductory course is designed for puppies between 10 weeks and a year old. During this course, instructors will cover the following:

proper nutrition, the importance of daily exercise and stimulation, grooming, and leash manipulation
Sit, stay, come, walk, down, and leave commands
socialization

Courses can be started at anytime. The course is over 10 consecutive weeks

Course Cost: $400 (payment plans available)

Therapy Dog

This 6 week class is geared towards owners who have completed basic obedience training and feel their dogs possess the temperament and skill level to volunteer within a facility such as a hospital, assisted living center, or school. During this course, handlers will learn about dog behavior and how to effectively read body language. Dogs will become comfortable working around people and distractions to ensure they possess the demeanor and confidence to fulfil the requirements of the therapy dog certification.
